Ekaland SD & Mixland + SD are novel alternatives to Ethylene Thiourea

MLPC INternational, part of the Arkema Group, and still one of the worlds largest producers of thioureas for the rubber industry, have developed a new molecule to replace ethylene thiourea as a rubber accelerator.
Extensive studies have shown that Ekaland SD (oil damped powder) and Mixland + SD (polymer bound pre-dispersion), when properly formulated can give very similar properties to the legacy ETU product.
Increasing concern regarding the H&S nature of ETU means that all formulators will have to find alternatives, and the SD molecule has the necessary performance profile to meet these needs.
